Tough it is often known as the "Food Capital of the World", Iowa’s economy is diverse. Recently, Iowa’s agricultural economy transitioned to a diversified economy of advanced manufacturing, processing, financial services, biotechnology, and green energy production. Iowa has been listed as one of the safest states in which to live.
Iowa is the headquarters of many of the nation’s leading companies, in terms of revenue. These include John Deere, Principal Financial, Casey's General Stores, HNI, Rockwell Collins, and ACT. Iowa is also headquarters to other companies including Pella Corporation, Kum & Go gas stations, Hy-Vee, Vermeer Company, Von Maur, Pioneer Hi-Bred, McLeodUSA, and Fareway grocery stores.
Manufacturing, the largest sector of Iowa's economy, includes food processing, heavy machinery, and agricultural chemicals. Food processing is the largest component of manufacturing. Companies with direct or indirect processing facilities in Iowa include Barilla, ConAgra Foods, Wells Blue Bunny, Heinz, and Wonder Bread/Hostess Snack Cakes. Major non-food manufacturing firms with production facilities in Iowa include ALCOA, 3M, Amana Corporation, Electrolux/Frigidaire, and John Deere.
Iowa's main agricultural outputs are soybeans, oats, hogs, corn, cattle, eggs, and dairy products. Iowa is the nation's largest producer of ethanol and corn. Major Iowa agricultural product processors include Cargill, Inc., Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Monsanto Company, Ajinomoto, Garst Seed Company, and Heartland Pork Enterprises.
In addition to ethanol, renewable energy has become a major economic force in western Iowa, with wind turbine electrical generation increasing annually. Wind accounts for approximately fifteen percent of the energy produced and over seven percent of the state's power needs. Iowa ranked second in wind generating capacity of states. Major producers of turbines and componets in Iowa include Acciona Energy of West Branch, TPI Composites of Newton, and Siemens Energy of Fort Madison.

You want to know how much it will cost for some car repairs? That's a bit like asking, "How much for a car?" There's obviously a huge variance in price, depending on what kind of automobile you have, what kind of service you want done and what kind of expertise youre looking for.
Why do you need car repair estimates? Well, before a wedding ring, there's an engagement ring (a "promise"). Before a business venture, there's an agreement (a "promise"). Before a binding deal, there's a contract (a "promise"). Like it or not, the world is run on arbitrations and...
Want to know about car mechanics? Sit on down and I'll tell you all about the old days of the car mechanic. That was when people brought the old Tin Lizzie in to him because she was rattling something fierce, and the mechanic, who was covered in oil, dirt and grease, took his rusty old tools, banged around on her a bit and said, "that'll be ...
